DESCRIPTION:Jeanne Sprague\, CPRE\nIs Director of Lincoln City Parks and Recreation (P&R)\, having worked in the P&R field her entire career. She holds a bachelor’s in Social Work (Wilderness Therapy) and a master’s degree from WVU in Recreation\, Parks and Tourism Management. She is a graduate of the National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA) Director’s School\, NRPA Revenue Development and Management School\, and continues to hold her certification as an ARC Lifeguard – which is how she started her career at age 14. She has worked in Parks & Recreation in Virginia\, West Virginia\, St. Helens OR\, Portland OR – for 18+ yrs.\, then joining Lincoln City P&R in 2017.\nJeanne believes strongly in accessible and inclusive recreation for all ages and abilities\, and has been actively involved in bringing accessibility to OR Coastal parks\, beach accesses and recreation programs.\nJeanne also loves community service and is on the Boards of Lincoln City Chamber of Commerce\, American Association of University Women and Lincoln City Rotary Club.
