His books include Sailing by Starlight\, Leveling the Playing Field\, and annotations of Joshua Slocum’s classic Sailing Alone Around the World and Richard Henry Dana’s Two Years Before the Mast. Rod lives in Depoe Bay\, OR with his wife\, Lesley\, and spends much of the summer traveling the West Coast in a small motorhome.
